Flowers For Powers is a non-profit organization.
The purpose of Flowers For Powers is to bring smiles and healing powers to those who are ill through the compassionate delivery of flowers to patients in hospitals and nursing homes. We are considered a service foundation and funds are raised to support the organization and to support other groups that host events for children or individuals with cancer.
In October 2008, Abby lost her paternal grandmother, Judy Levin, to breast cancer. In October 2009, she lost her maternal grandmother, Gail Davis, to ALS. After spending the night at Lexi's, the two of them noticed the beautiful flowers all around them. Abby expressed to Lexi that it would be great if they could give the flowers to people like her grandmothers. Lexi agreed and thought anyone who was ill or needed cheering up could benefit. The girls went into Lexi’s house and took all of her mom's coffee mugs and filled them with flowers. After a trip to the local nursing home, Future Care - Cherrywood, and a quick call to Neil Meltzer (President and CEO of Lifebridge Health), Flowers For Powers was born!
Flowers for Powers has worked miracles and brought joy and happiness into many lives, but we can't do it all on our own! Your charitable donation will help us in reaching our goals of bringing smiles and healing powers to individuals in their greatest time of need.
